Historic Wallingford

Historic Wallingford hosted an open call for local artists to submit their interest in designing one of three utility boxes in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. I was selected to design one of the signal boxes, and the final artwork is shown in the photos below. My design included two historic photographs from the neighborhood as a nod to the area's history, while digitally illustrated pops of color give the image a sense of contemporary playfulness that alludes to the neighborhood's growth and vibrancy throughout the years.
